the Authors
Alexander S. Holub has been teaching Psychology in the Los
Angeles Community College District for more than 25 years. He holds
a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, a Masters Degree in Educational
Psychology, and a Doctoral Degree in Psychology. He is a member
of the American Association for the Advancement of Science and the
Institute of Noetic Sciences. Dr. Holub has certification in Rational-Emotive
Behavioral Therapy being taught by its founder, Dr. Albert Ellis.
He has further certifications in Neuro-Linguistic Programming where
he possesses Practitioner, Master Practitioner and Trainer Certifications.
For five years he had been a facilitator for a S.M.A.R.T. (Self-Management
and Recovery Training) Recovery group. S.M.A.R.T. Recovery is an
alternative to the 12-step approach based on the work of Dr. Albert
Ellis and cognitive therapy. Dr. Holub has been a practicing hypnotherapist
for more than 25 years. He has Applied Kinesiology certifications
in Total Body Modification (TBM), Emotional Complex Clearing (ECC),
and Neurolink 2000. For about 10 years, along with his partner,
Evelyn Budd-Michaels, Ph.D. he has been pioneering the use of Applied
Kinesiology in counseling and therapy. They have presented their
findings to many conferences in the western United States. Among
the conferences were: The Western States NLP Conference in Park
City, Utah; the American Board of Hypnotherapy Annual Convention
in Irvine, California; the 1995 NLP Comprehensive International
Conference in Denver, Colorado; and the Whole Life Expo in Los Angeles,
California. He has written articles for : The Journal of Borderland
Sciences, The Psychic Reporter and The Journal of Educational and
Psychological Measurements. With his partner he has also written
for Anchor Point, the NLP journal. He has studied Southern Shao-Lin
kung-fu from the renowned late Grandmaster Wong, Ark-Yuey and has
written articles on kung-fu for Martial Arts Masters, Black Belt,
Karate/Kung Fu Illustrated, and Inside Kung Fu magazines. Dr. Holub's
interests are wide and varied ranging from Theoretical Physics,
Cosmology, Mystical Traditions and Mysticism, Mythology, and Art
to Ancient History, Archaeology, Anthropology, Palentology, and
Human Behavior.
Evelyn
Budd-Michaels, Ph.D. has spent much of her life searching for
solutions that can allow us to live healthier, happier, and more
productive lives. During her more than twenty years of counseling
experience, she has discovered many principles and techniques which
have helped to accomplish these goals allowing her to draw on a
variety of stragtegies for her clients. Evelyn Budd-Michaels has
a Ph.D. in Psychology from Summit University and holds certifications
as a Practitioner, Master Practitioner, and Trainer in Neuro-Linguistic
Programming (NLP). Her training in kinesiology techniques includes
Total Body Modification (TBM), Holistic Energy Restructuring, Bio-Energetic
Synchronization Technique (BEST), Emotional Complex Clearing (ECC),
and Neuro-Emotional Technique (NET). Dr. Budd-Michaels is a certified
member of the American Board of Hypnotherapy. She is also a renowned
expert on handwriting analysis. Her expertise in this field allows
her to use handwriting as another diagnostic tool to assist her
clients. Dr. Evelyn Budd-Michaels is a counselor with over twenty-five
years experience in assisting people with personal growth and development.
She has reached millions of people throughout the world through
TV, radio, and seminars. She also produced and was hostess of her
cable television show Synergy 4 Success. This talk show presented
new and unique information to assist viewers to achieve personal
and professional success. Guests included world champions, artists,
celebrities, and interesting people from many walks of life. Articles
she has written include Stress Reduction, Creating Happier Relationships
with Yourself and Others, Secrets Revealed in Your Handwriting,
Communication, and Walking the Spiritual Path have been published
in magazines and journals.
